Well if you’ve been outside lately you know that summer (and the hotness) has arrived. After taking it easy by the beach this spring, the Brandon Perry Band is gearing up for the second half of 2011. Already this has been a great year not only for us, but our friends as well. John Driskell Hopkins and Clay Cook, (producer, and guest musician on Shades of Gray) continue their streak of great success with the Zac Brown Band. Our friend Tyler Reeve has been hitting the road hard, recently opening for pat Green, Corey Smith and ZZ Top, to name a few, and as some of you know firsthand, Brian Collins had showcase for some labels in Nashville that was a great time for anyone who made the journey.
Closer to home, drummer Sean McNally, and the Villains are wrapping up work on a second CD, Seth Watters (bass/lead guitar) and Red Clay Rumble continue to win fans over and rock it out locally, and Bill Smith got a new car…same color but faster.
As a band we have been in the studio with Brian Collins working on the next album. It’s a slow process but it’s going to be great.
As the summer goes on we will continue to bring the music to you, around the Atlanta area and around the southeast. This Friday (6/10) we will finally make it to Newnan at Brickhouse Grille and Tavern. Saturday we will be back home at Atkins Park Tavern in Smyrna. Looking ahead to August we have been asked to play for the SMYRNA BIRTHDAY Celebration on AUG 6TH with Banks &Shane. This will be an ALL AGES SHOW, so those of you with kids have no excuse. Plan to bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun.
We hope everyone has a safe and fun summer. Don’t forget the sunscreen. See y’all at a show soon.
